Ms. Martin went out to dinner with her daughter. The price of the meal was $18.49. How much did Ms. Melton pay total after 6% tax and a 15% tip?

    Ok so first you would do the sales tax

    6% of $18.49 = $18.49x0.06 = $1.10 always round total to the nearest penny

    then add $18.49+$1.10=$19.59

    now tip percentage

    15% of $19.59 = $19.59x0.15=$2.93 $

    then add $19.59+$2.90=$22.53
