What is the solution for x in the equation?

10x - 4.5 + 3x = 12x - 1.1

    Answer:in first part of equation add 10x and 3x (like terms)

    13x-4.5=12x-1.1

    move all terms containing x to left side of equation

    13x-4.5-12x = - 1.1

    x-4.5 = - 1.1

    Subtract 4.5 from both sides

    x=3.4
