A sheet of plywood was made by gluing 7 sheets of wood together.

2 of the sheets were 0.0625 inch thick and the rest were 0.125 inch thick.

    We can use the equation y=2 (0.0625) + 5 (0.125), y being the thickness of the plywood.

    I got 5 (0.125) because two sheets of the 7 were already used, meaning there are 5 sheets of plywood left over.

    y=0.125+0.625
