    2|2x-4|-8 = - 4

    2|2x-4| = 4

    |2x-4| = 2

    2x - 4 = 2

    2x = 6

    x = 3

    - (2x - 4) = 2

    -2x + 4 = 2

    -2x = - 2

    x = 1

    answer

    x = 1 and x = 3
