Multiplying by 0.1 is the same as dividing by 10, as 0.1 = 1/10

    So, 37.4x 0.1 = 37.4/10 = 3.74

Because you’re multiplying 37.4 by another number that isn’t a whole number (isn’t greater than one), so when you multiply a number by a number less than one, the product will be a lower number
