    An=a1+d (n-1)

    a1=first term

    d common differnce

    n=which term

    jsut sub 17 for n

    f (17) = 3+5 (17-1)

    f (17) = 3+5 (16)

    f (17) = 3+80

    f (17) = 83

    answer is 83

    F (n) = 3+5 (n-1)

    17 th term is when n=17, therefore:

    f (17) = 3+5 (17-1)

    f (17) = 3+5 (16)

    f (17) = 3+80

    f (17) = 83

    Answer: the 17th term is 83
