A student is given the perimeter of a rectangle (x+4*x) and the perimeter of the square (x+2*x+2). the student states that the two figures have the same perimeter. is the student correct?

    0
    No, b/c one would be 3x + 2 while the other is 5x. plug in a few numbers and you'll see they're not the same
