Jake runs either 15 kilometers or 8500 meters each day. He alternates short and long runs. how many meters farther will he run on his two long run days than on his short run days? Describe how you found the answer

    Since long and short are alternate,

    Two long run days: long + short + long

    Therefore, Total distance = 15 + 8.5 + 15 = 38.5

    Two short run days: short + long + short

    Therefore, Total distance = 8.5 + 15 + 8.5 = 32

    Difference = (38.5-32) x1000 = 6500 metres
