    In a physics equation, given a constant acceleration (a, the change in velocity of an object) and time involved (t), you can figure out the distance (S) traveled by using this formula:

    S = 1/2 x acceleration (a) x times (t) ^2

    So in this case, we can compute the distance by supplying the available data into the equation, ...

    S = 1/2 x 3.2 m/s2 x (32.8s) ^2

    S = 1721m
