Anthony has a sink that is shaped like a half-sphere. The sink has a volume of 20003π in^3. One day, his sink clogged. He had to use a cylindrical cup to scoop the water out of the sink. The sink is completely full when Anthony starts scooping.

The cup is a cylinder and has a diameter of 4 inches and a height of 8 inches.

    About 312.55 cups

    Step-by-step explanation:

For this, we need to find the volume of the cup and divide 20003π in³ by it.

The diameter is 2 radii so the radius of the base would be 2

First we need the formula for a cylinder's volume which is: 2πr²*h

    Putting in the variables:

    2π*2²*8=

    2π*4*8=

    2π*32=

    64π

Now dividing the total volume of the sink by the cylindrical cup, we get

20003π/64π = 312.546875 or simplified to the nearest hundredth: 312.55
