A truck with a heavy load drove from Boston to New York at 45 mph. After unloading, it returned from New York to Boston at a speed of 65 mph. What was its average speed for the whole trip?

    The distances from Boston to New York and New York to Boston stayed the same. Going was 45mph and returning was 65mph. The average would just be the sum of the two, divided by 2

    (45+65) / 2 = 55mph average
