On a sunny day, Elliot notices that a lamp post casts a shadow on the ground. If the shadow is 18 ft long and the lamp post is 13 ft tall, what is the angle of elevation of the sun? (Assume the lamp post is at a right angle to the ground.)

    I think the answer is B or D. I am not sure though. But I would go with B.

    Tangent (angle) = opp / adjacent

    tangent (angle) = 13 / 18

    tangent (angle) =.7222222222

    arc tangent (.722222222) = 35.838 Degrees

    It seems that A is the answer
