A train travels 58 kilometers in 4 hours, and then 80 kilometers in 4 hours. What is its average speed?

    Average speed =

    (total distance covered) / (time to cover the distance).

    Total distance covered = (58km + 80km) = 138 km

    Time to cover the distance = (4hr + 4hr) = 8 hours

    Average speed = 138km / 8hr = 17.25 km/hour.

    (That's less than 11 mph. You could bike there faster!)
