Because 2/6 is less than 3/6. if your wondering how, i'll tell you. since 3 and 2 are not factors i just multiplied1/3 with 2 on the top and bottom and multiplied 1/2 with 3 and i got the answer

If you have one whole pizza divided into 3 parts and another pizza (same size) divided into 2 parts the slices in the pizza divided into 3 parts would be smaller than the one divided into 2 parts.
math way of doing this is like a cross product deal
1/3 O 1/2
1x2 1x3
2 < 3
so 1/3 is less than 1/2
