Alfred and his 4 friends bought 13 1/4 pounds of gummy bears at $1.20 a pound. If the cost of the gummy bears is divided evenly among Alfred and his four friends, how much will each person pay?

    Total cost

    13 1/4 * $1.20

    =53/4 * $1.20

    =$15.90

    Alfred + 4 friends = 5 person

    So, each person must pay

    $15.90:5

    =$3.18
