    Solve for y

    y=mx+b

    m=slope

    b=yinterept

    3x+7y=28

    minus 3x both sides

    7y=-3x+28

    divide both sides by 7

    y = (-3/7) x+4

    y intercept is 4

    slope is - 3/7
