Day 1 each student is given $0.50

    day 2 - $1.00

    day 3 - $2.00

this means every day the amount each student is given doubles from the day before.

    day 4 - $4.00

    day 5 - $8.00

    day 6 - $16.00

    day 7 - $32.00

    day 8 - $64.00

    day 9 - $128.00

so on the 9th day the students would earn $128.00

    day 9 - $128.00

    255.50

    Step-by-step explanation:

If each day the number is doubled, then all you must do is keep on doubling to the ninth day and then add it all together
