To find the terms in a linear sequence;
Tn = a + (n-1) d
a = 2 (first term)
n = (nth term)
d = (difference between two terms, e. g T3 - T2)
From the given data;
Tn = 2 + (n-1) 8
Open the bracket
Tn = 2 + 8n - 8
Tn = 8n - 6
Therefore, the formula for the sequence is: Tn = 8n - 6
