In a cookie jar, 1/4 of the cookies are chocolate chip, and 1/2 of the rest are peanut butter ... What fraction of all the cookies is peanut butter

    So if you find a common denominator witch would be 4 so the you take the 2 in 1/2 and multiply it by two then you multiply the one by two And then you subtract 2/4 by 1/4 And you get a fourth of the cookies are peanut butter
