To find this out we first need to find the total number of packs of cards that Sara bought at the two stores combined. When we add them we get a total number of 11. Because each pack of cards has 17 cards inside, we can multiply 11 (the total number of packs that she bought) and 17 (the number of cards in a pack). When we do this we find the total number of cards that she bought was 187.
