The ratio of boys to girls in a group is 7:2 if there are 60 more boys than girls work out how many girls are there

    There are 9 parts altogether (7+2) and there are 5 more parts of boys that of girls so 5 parts=60, therefore 1 part=12

    There are 2 parts of girls - 12x2 = 24 girls altogether
