You have 15 pennies in your pocket. Of those pennies, 3 are Canadian. Suppose you pick a penny out of your pocket at random. Find P (not Canadian).

    15 pennies total ... 3 are Canadian ... so (15 - 3) = 12 are not Canadian.

    P (not Canadian) = 12/15 reduces to 4/5

    12 is not canadian

    so 12/15 which simplifies to 4/5 or 80% of choosing a non Canadian coin
