Find the derivative of the following functions

f (x) = x^7 - 2x^3 - 9x

    Use the power rule,

    d (x^n) / dx = nx^ (n-1)

    So

    f (x) = x^7-2x^3-9x

    f' (x) = 7x^6-6x^2-9
