    25 +.02x = 10 +.05x

    Now multiply all by 100 to clear the decimals ...

    2500 + 2x = 1000 + 5x

    Subtract 1000 from both sides

    1500 + 2x = 5x

    Now subtract 2x and then divide by 3 ...

    1500 = 3x

    x = 500 cards

    The answer is 300.

    Let's solve your equation step-by-step. 25 + 0.2x = 10 + 0.25x Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation. 0.2x + 25 = 0.25x + 10 Step 2: Subtract 0.25x from both sides. 0.2x + 25 - 0.25x = 0.25x + 10 - 0.25x - 0.05x + 25 = 10 Step 3: Subtract 25 from both sides. - 0.05x + 25 - 25 = 10-25 - 0.05x = - 15 Step 4: Divide both sides by - 0.05. - 0.05x - 0.05 = - 15 - 0.05 x=300 Answer: x = 300
