    The perimeter of a rectangle is given by:

    P = 2W + 2L

    Where,

    W: width

    L: long

    Substituting the values we have to:

    P = 2 * (33 + 2 * (3)) + 2 * (39 + 2 * (3))

    P = 168 feet

    Answer:

    joe needs to enclose the garden and path 168 feet of fencing material
