How much would a 10th dog have to weight for the average weight in part (a) to be 250 pounds? Explain how you determined your answer.

i think the formula is (316+x) 10 = 250

+5

    First: Multiply both sides by 10 to begin your isolation of x.

    250 * 10 = 2500

    Second: Subtract 316 from each side.

    2500 - 316 = 2184 lbs.
