    Here,

    ↪x³-4x²-3x+18=0

    ↪ x³-4x²+3x-6x+18=0

    ↪ x³-3x²-x²+3x-6x+18=0

    ↪ x² (x-3) - x (x-3) - 6 (x-3) = 0

    ↪ (x-3) (x²-x-6) = 0

    ↪f (3) = (x-3) (x²-x-6) ➡equivalent factored form
