    Number of adult tickets sold = 121

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let x = number of student tickets and y = number of adult tickets sold

    Then:-

    x + y = 300 ... (1) Also using the cost of the tickets:_

    7x + 10y = 2463 ... (2)

    Mutilply equation (1) by 10:0

    10x + 10y = 3000 ... (3)

    Subtract the equations (3) - (2) : -

    3x + 0 = 537

    x = 537 / 3 = 179

    So y = 300 - 179 = 121

    7x+10y=2463

    10y=2463-7x

    divide the entire equation by 10 to isolate variable y

    y=246.3-7/10x

    this is the equation for the line that will represent the possible outcomes for number of adult student tickets sold

    the graph shows one possible outcome was 99 student tickets sold and 177 adult tickets sold but there are other possibilities as well, just remember that they have to be whole, real numbers, since those are the only applicable numbers to the word problem
