A grower wants to have three orange trees for every five grapefruit trees. He has planted 75 orange trees and 50 grapefruit trees. To maintain his ratio, how many more grapefruit trees must he plant? Use a chart to show your answer.

    You need to have a 3:5 ratio

    with 75 orange trees you have your 3

    75:3=25

    25x5 = 125 grapefruit tree is what you need

    125-50 = 75 more to plant
