The functions below describe the temperatures in two cities on the same day. Which city had the greater starting temperature? Which city had the greater rate of temperature change? Explain.

City A

At noon, the temperature was 60°F. Between noon and 5 P. M. the temperature increased 2°F per hour.

City B

t = 71 + 2h, where t is the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and h is the number of hours since noon.
