You multiply the both denominator numbers and both numerators.
ex: 9 x 6
3 2
9 x 6 + 3 x 2
answer is 60

If your hace 1/3*1/7 your multiply the numerators witch is 1*1=1 and then the denominador which is 7*3=21 so your get 1/21
