Solve this problem. two angles are complementary. one contains 20° more than the other. find both angles.

    Complementary means the sum of both of these angles will be 90*

    So: Let 'x' represent the smaller angle

    x + (x+20) = 90

    x+x=90-20

    2x=70

    x=35

    Therefore if the smaller angle is 35*, then the larger angle must be 55*

    35+55=90, therefore these are the two angles that are complementary where one of them contains 20 * more than the other
