Darryl wants to add enough water to 8 gallons of a 10% bleach solution to make a 5% bleach solution. Which equation can he use to find x, the number of gallons of water he should add

    If 8 gallons of water equals 10% of bleach then x gallons of water equals 5% of bleach then this equation is easy since 5% is half of 10% then just divide 8 by 2 to get 4 gallons of water equals 5% of bleach
