If it take Tracy 1/4 of an hour to do her homework, and it takes Trent 3/4 of an hour to do his homework, how much total time does it take Tracy and Trent to do their homework?

    It takes them 45 minutes if they start at the same time, but adding them together it would be an hour.

    So 1/4 of an hour is 15 minutes so we have Tracy's time

    and to find Trent's you multiply 15 by 3 and you get 45

    so you add 15 by 45 it would be an hour (Or 60 minutes)
