Chynna has one hour to bake muffins for the PTA bake sale. The muffins take 25 minutes to bake fully. Each pan holds one dozen muffins. The oven holds 4 pans at once. The oven takes 10 minutes to preheat, during which Chynna makes a large amount of batter. Which equation can be used to find p, the number of muffins that Chynna has time to make?

    Total time avalable = 1 hour = 60 minnutes.

    Time for preheating the oven = minutes.

    Time available for baking is 60 - 10 = 50 minutes.

    This allows two sets of muffins to be baked (25 minutes for each bake).

    Let p = number of muffins made.

    p = (4 pans) * (12 muffns/pan) * (2 sets) = 96 muffns

    Answer: 96 muffins
