There is no bank statement provided. However three things could possibly be the reason why Jerry is in such a situation:

a. Someone else is using his bank account without his knowledge, either through skimming his card or hacking into his account.

b. Jerry made previous transactions that he did not keep track of.

c. The bank deducts certain amounts for transactions not made within the regulations of its office (i. e. withdrawing in a different ATM machine)
