What is the value of y in the equation 5x+2y=20 when x=0.3

    5 x 0.3 = 1.5

    1.5 + 2y = 20

    2y = 20 - 1.5 = 18.5

    y = 18.5 divided by 2

    y = 9.25

    checking

    9.25 times 2 is 18.5

    18.5 plus 1.5 is 20
