    Length is 9meters and width is 3 meters

    steps:

    let's assume width of a rectangle = a meters

    than length of the rectangle = 3*a = 3a

    perimeter = 24 meters

    formula to find perimeter: p = 2 (l+w)

    substitute the values of in the formula

    24 = 2 (3a+a)

    24 = 2 (4a)

    24 = 8a

    24/8 = a

    3 = a

    a is width of the rectangle = 3 meters

    length of the rectangle = 3 * a = 3*3 = 9 meters

    hence and is length 9 meters and width 3 meters
