You have to multiply the price of the car and by the percent. You with have to convert the percent into a decimal by moving it 2 spaces to the left. Then you get your answer of $ 300

His commission is 2.5% of 12000 so we multiply.

    12000 * 2.5% =

    12000 *.025 =

    300

    $300 is the commission
