The tasty swirl sells ice cream for $4 dollars a bowl for the first bowl, and $2 for each bowl after that.

Can you determine the cost when a family buys 1,2,3 and 4 bowls of ice cream at each place.

    1. 1 bowl at $4

    (1 * 4) + (0 + 2) = $4

    2. 1 bowl at $4 & 1 bowl at $2 = $6

    (1 * 4) + (1 + 2) = $6

    3. 1 bowl at $4 & 2 bowls at $2 = $8

    (1 * 4) + (2 + 2) = $8

    4. 1 bowl at $4 & 3 bowls at $2 = $10

    (1 * 4) + (3 + 2) = $10

    5. 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 = $28
