Suppose the santa monica has a hull length that is 10 ft shorter than that of the nina pinta. what expression represents the hull speed of the santa monica in terms of the length, ln of the nina pinta?

    If we represent the length of the nina pinta to be ln and that the hull length is 10 ft shorter, the hull length should be equal to ln - 10. This is only true if the ln (which is the expression for the length of nina pinta) is in feet also. Otherwise, there may be a need for us to convert first before proceeding with the subtraction.
