Principal Paul is laying out 8 dozen bagels on square plates. He makes sure each plate has the same number of bagels. How many plates of bagels could Paul have? Does he have leftover bagels? How many more bagels would he need to fill the final plate?

    12 bagels x 8 = 96 bagels

    We are not told how many plates Paul has, so there are many possibilities. Paul could have 24 plates with four bagels each. This would not leave any bagels.
