The costume committee has made 20 costumes. This is 80% of the total number of costumers needed for the school play. How many more costumes do they need to make?

    You should use part/whole = %/100 and cross multiply. So you will get 20/x = 80/100 (whole is x because we are trying to find what whole is). now you will have 2000=80x. Now you divide 2000/80 and get 25=x. So, there are 25 costumes in total which means they need to make 5 more.
