Neon green is a paint color that contains the colors yellow and green in the ratio 3:5 by volume. How many ml of each color is in 100ml of neon green paint? Show your thinking

    First you add the 5+3 (8) then you take your total of 100ml and you divide it by 8. (12.5) That shows you that you need to multiply both sides of the ratio by 12.5 so you get

    37.5:62.5
