    R + 4b = $13.75

    r = $5.50 + b

    $5.50 + b + 4b = $13.75

    $5.50 + 5b = $13.75

    $5.50-$5.50 + 5b = $13.75-$5.50

    5b = $8.25

    5b/5 = $8.25/5

    b = $1.65

    r = $5.50 + $1.65

    r = $7.15

    A racket cost $7.15

    Check

    $7.15 + 4 ($1.65) = $13.75

    $7.15 + $6.60 = $13.75

    $13.75 = $13.75
