One hack is 36 times 2/3=24 so 2 times 2/3=4/3 cups needed, but ok, ratio and proptoin

    cookies:sugar=36:2

    36/2=24/?

    times both sides by 2?

    36?=48

    divide both sides by 36

    ?=48/36

    ?=24/18

    ?=12/9

    ?=4/3

    1 and 1/3 cups
