A traditional square bale of hay is actually in the shape of a rectangular prism. it's dimensions are 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 feet l. how many square bales contain the same amount of hay as one large round bale?

    First calculate the volume of the square bale, in the shae of a rectangular prism. using the formula:

    V = l x w x h

    where l is the length

    w is the width

    h is the height

    V = 2 x 2 x 4

    V = 16 sq ft.

    then divide is by the volume of the total volume of hay
