Tulio's plant 40 inches tall in May. InJune, it grew 3 inches. In July, it grew 4 times as much as it grew in june.

    June=3 inches

    july=4 times june=4 times 3=12

    it grew 12 inches in june

    if you want total heigh grown then

    may+june+july=40+3+12=55 inches grown total

    july=12 inches grown
