A recipe called for the ratio of sugar to flour to be 5:1. If you used 35 ounce of sugar, how many ounces of flour would you need to use?

    5 is 5 times more than 1

    So what is 35, 5 times more than?

    35/5=7

    You need to use 7oz of sugar
