The volume of a rectangular prism can be found by the formula v = lwh where v is the volume, l is length, w is width and h is height. if the volume of an object is 48 in3, the length is 8 in and the width is 2 inches, what is the height?

    V = lwh

    48 = 8 x 2 x h = 16h

    h = 48/16 = 3

    height = 3 inches.
